Someone put a link on twitter earlier about sponsoring a player; I wonder what the difference in cost is these days- maybe slightly more than a tenner to sponsor training kit?!

(The best I can do is 'mid 80s' for this! Also, I haven't tagged all the players in this- their is a limit to the number of characters in the labels. I deleted the players that the chances are I'll never post about again!)

United are Back!

So, the off season; traditionally a time when I watch all of my old Leeds season reviews, in an attempt to keep me sane!

One of them is this one:

I paid more than I should have to secure this on ebay a few years back, but the very things that make it look so shoddy are the things that I love about it! Massive, plasticky 80s video box, photocopied cover sheet, and hows this for a VHS label:

It was, indeed, made with a label maker!

The name of this season review is a little misleading, as, although it was a good season compared to others around it, not even the most hardcore fan could claim that it resulted in us being 'back'.

An FA Cup semi-final, and a play-off final defeat (not even at Wembley in those days) were what we ultimately had to show for it.

'Hulk' Hogan Ephraim:

I'll be honest, I can't really remember how crap or uncrap Ephraim was for us. 

I saw him play against Oldham, and we won that one. He came on as sub in a couple of league draws, and he scored against Accy Stanley in the paint pot. 

That's about it, but, let's be honest, being a loanee, and having the name Hogan, he was never staying out of this feature.
